Lenten Midweek Services
Sure Death, Certain Life
Lenten midweek services this year will center on the so-called Seven Deadly Sins. As we hear them condemned and ourselves accused by God’s Law, we’ll have a clearer focus on why our Lord moved Saint Paul to write, “The wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23a)” Yet even as we acknowledge our sinfulness and the Lord’s absolute right and obligation to condemn us, we’ll also receive the absolute assurance that He forgives even these most deadly sins and that “free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 6:23b)”
Join your brothers and sisters in worship and devotion as our Lenten preparations lead us to the assurance of this grace through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
