Sermon: Pentecost 5 — Proper 6
MP3 Audio of the Sermon for 15 June AD 2008
Sermon Text: And whatever town or village you enter, find out who is worthy in it and stay there until you depart. As you enter the house, greet it. And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. And if anyone will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town. Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town.” (Matthew 10:11-15)
Sermon Theme: Deliverance or Dust?
Readings: Psalm 100; Exodus 19:2-8; Romans 5:6-15; Matthew 9:35-10:20

- What is an apostle?
- What was their message?
- How and where here were they sent?
- How were they received?
- What were the two possible consequences?
- Who are the heirs of the apostles?
- What is their message?
- How and where are they sent?
- How are they received?
- What are the two possible consequences?
